The hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset are known as the 'Golden Hours'.
They are every photographer’s dream. The soft, warm, flattering light during this time naturally enhances skin tones, adds a magical glow, and creates stunning, natural highlights and shadows. It’s the secret behind those dreamy, golden portraits you love. Shooting at golden hour ensures your photos look timeless, romantic, and full of life — no harsh midday shadows, no squinting, just beautiful, natural light that makes you and your loved ones shine.
I can offer a morning shoot by request, but I have found the evening shoots are a much more popular time slot!
I know that it can be difficult to arrange a time and date with busy families and multiple schedules, but trust me, when you see your images you will understand why!
This is also the reason why punctuality is crucial for outdoor photoshoots. I can wait but the sun won't!
Please Note
The time slots on my booking calendar are approximate. Because golden hour shifts with the seasons, exact start times may vary slightly from what's listed. For example, a session marked as 7–8 PM may actually run from 6:50–7:50 PM depending on the sunset that day. I’ll always confirm the exact time with you when we book to make sure we catch the best light.
